Survival Driving focuses primarily on Law Enforcement Driver Training (LEDT or EVOC). However, the same techniques used by law enforcement personnel can be adapted by the civilian driver. Survival Driving is now offering this training to the civilian driver! The focus is not on “high speed” driving but understanding the communication from the vehicle to the driver.
Driving through specific maneuvers will help the driver to understand exactly what a vehicle will and will not do. This training covers vehicle dynamics, rules for skid control, proper seating and hand placement on the steering wheel, steering and braking techniques, backing, and the importance of proper tire pressure and maintenance. The series of exercises that the student will encounter will no doubt increase driver confidence and skill levels but will also drive home the importance of proper vehicle maintenance.
This driver training is a necessity for the newly licensed driver or the seasoned driver that may need to sharpen current skills and to learn updated techniques.
